3. Tasting Notes This Junmai Dai Ginjo is full bodied in texture but is super smooth. You can tell this was created with the old school brewing method. Very creamy and balanced This sake has the nose of fresh fruit leaning towards star fruit and melons Ricey Smooth Mouthfeel Fruity Special Occasion or Every Day Serve Chilled
4. Talking Points Taiheizan Tenko “Grand Mountain” is brewed using the Kimoto method which is one of the oldest and original methods of sake brewing. Very delicate and time consuming but creates much higher quality sake. Taiheizan has won over 5,000 gold medals Recommended Dishes This sake is a great pork and grilled meats. Can be served as a stand alone.

Tasting Notes This Junmai Ginjo (no alcohol added heavily polished) is light and smooth starting out with a fruity and nutty taste and smooths out with a crisp green apple finish This sake has the nose of white peaches, and apricots (stone fruits). Soft Crisp Mouthfeel Fruit Forward Easy Drinker Serve Chilled
4. Talking Points Aichi Prefecture is a prefecture of Japan located in the southeast of the Tokai region of in the center of Honshū. Aichi is shaped like a crab. Aichi is the home of Nagoya. Recommended Dishes This sake is a great pork and grilled meats. Can be served as a stand alone.

Welcome Our Newest Host

As some of you know I do a HD Video version of Meeto World Sake 101 Podcast every with my friends Linzy (@lalalinzy) & Topher (@Topher808). We normally discuss all things Sake 101 and sake related with a good splash of Japanese lessons and pure silliness. Well Meeto is a play on the katakana pronunciation of “meet” or “meet up”. Meeto also is a play on “Mi” for “3″ and “Tomodachi” for “Friends” as in Japanese we often truncate and concatenate words. Lastly the old school way of pronouncing the number “3″ and “10″ would been “Mee Tou” and “Ten Sai”. (Tensai also means “Genius” just to add that special touch).

Kamotsuru Brewery, Hiroshima prefecture

Kamotsuru Tokusei Gold is “known as the first Daiginjo Sake ever produced and seen in the history of saké making in Japan”.

There are two pieces of gold leaf floating around in the bottle and they were pressed to be shaped like little cherry blossoms.
