The “Google Bar” is a new replacement for sometimes controversial black navigation bar that Google released a few months back. Most of the complaints were about the design and how much screen space it took up. While it never really bothered me I was happy to learn of the simple hack to allow me to test out the and improved redesigned “Google Bar”
These are the simple instructions I used created by Maxilian Majewski:
1. Go get this extension to change cookies. http://goo.gl/CeKtT 2. Load Google.com and right-click to edit the cookies. 3. Change “PREF” to this (try triple-clicking it): ID=03fd476a699d6487:U=88e8716486ff1e5d:FF=0:LD=en:CR=2:TM=1322688084:LM=1322688085:S=McEsyvcXKMiVfGds 4. Don’t forget to save your changes at the bottom. 5. Reload and you have the new Google bar.
Some people are getting this slowly rolled out to their accounts but if you cannot wait or are just curious like me just apply the hack. If you don't notice the change right away try restart the browser of the computer.
If you are using Google plus don’t forget to add me to a circle or two
