This weekend i had a chance to play in a Celebrity Kickball Tournament for the Aloha United Way. Thanks to this fun and absolutely hilarious event I got to play catch up with some old friends, namely Bruce Shimabukuro, Chris Salvador and Jody Kamisato of Ukulele Hale. Jody told me he got to meet the now world famous Makoto a.k.a The Cute Ukulele Kid who sings Jason Mraz I’m Yours.
I found a You Tube video of this chance meeting and you just have to see this for your self.
Kim Yeo Hee, a.k.a. AppleGirl002 the iPhone songstress reportedly has landed herself a record deal. New Album to be released soon via iTunes Korea. I can’t wait to hear her voice everyday.
I just got this app and I have to say so far its cool. I’ll be doing a full video review of the app in a few days after i put it through it’s paces. From what i gather thus far it is very intuitive and easy to just jump right in and start futtin’ around getting creative.
I love all things design and this is no exception as Moodboard Pro has a very nice interface design. It seems as if they have a great understanding of the touch interface and it ergonomics.
Until I get my video of this great app up please take a look at the developers video:
Totally on a more patriotic note, the designer/co-creator of the app Kyle Tress, is a World Cup Skeleton athlete and a 2014 Winter Olympic hopeful. That alone make me want to buy this app as US athletes have to raise their own funds to be an Olympian. Check out his blog http://www.kyletress.com/
I’d say buy it now even if you don’t need it so you can help out this inspiring Olympian… well and because it is a great app. This one will surely end up on my home screen.
What a few ingenious people can do with a couple of Macbook Pro, music software, some Nike+ Free Run, acceleration and motion sensors and a metric crapton of cables. This is really amazing and i can wait to see what Japanese Hip-Hop Ledgens like HIFANA will do with iPads and Turntablism.
The follow up video is the whole behind the scenes look, sorry if you don’t understand Japanese you’ll have to read the subtitles.
Opera today announced its popular mobile browser, Opera Mini has been approved for iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store. Opera Mini will be available as a free download within 24 hours, depending on market.
Opera Mini, with more than 50 million users worldwide, enables fast mobile Web browsing by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in significantly improved page loading. Users of the app will notice an uptake in speed, especially on slower networks such as the 2G Edge network. Surfing the Web with the Opera Mini App on iPhone and iPod touch will also help users save money because of its data compression capabilities. This will hold especially true while the user is incurring roaming charges.
“We are delighted to offer iPhone and iPod touch users a great browsing experience with the Opera Mini App,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “This app is another step toward Opera’s goal of bringing the Web to more people in more places.”
The Opera Mini App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
