In an earlier post my buddy @TimChaten and I gave a a quick run down of what we thought was going to happen today at the Apple announcement at the at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Today after all the fanfare the basics of what you need to know to make a good purchasing decision about the “new iPad” and the Apple TV.
The Nonstop Tech team is all in agreement the new iPad is a great buy if you are moving from the iPad 1 or have none at all. @JeromeKoehler and I think it’s a must buy as an upgrade to the iPad 2 if you are into media creation or consumption especially photos and video. While @TimChaten says hold out until the next revision of the iPad. We all love Apple deciding to drop the numbers from the name. We all will most likely say iPad 3 when speaking of the latest version anyway so no big deal there.
In the middle of all the points was a feature dear to my heart. Siri, Apple’s intelligent digital assistant now speaks and understands Japanese. I could not wait to try it so here is a quick preview video of Siri using Japanese language input. It turns out she still has a little bit of an attitude even in Nihongo.
If you have more questions about the iPad or any other tech question please leave them in the comment field. We love to give tech advice.

In the episode I mention Jamcloud is a Mac app but I got an email from Jason at Jamcloud and he assured me it was both Mac and PC. This app is worth a look.
